Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit, an Indian actor who has been known for her roles in Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is among the most popular Indian actors. She started her career in early 1980s. Her character in the role of Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab made her hugely famous. Her next role was in Dil which she starred alongside Aamir. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dancing at a young age. As a teenager, she began acting and struggled for years due to the fact that her early films failed. Then she found her way to success and then went on to be one of the most well-known actresses in the Indian film industry. After marriage, she experienced an absence from the industry before returning to the industry. In the last few years, Dixit had a major role to play as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit has received 15 Filmfare Awards nominations, of which she took home eight. Padma Shri is the fourth most prestigious civilian award in India. Also, she is well acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
