Jennifer Garner, born April 17, 1972 in Houston, Texas, was raised in Charleston West Virginia. William John Garner was her father and a chemical engineering at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner taught in a college near her. Wanting to follow in her father's footsteps, she graduated with a degree in chemical engineering. To achieve her dream of becoming an actress, she relocated to New York. In her Broadway roles were accompanied by work at a local restaurant. The TV show "Felicity," she had one brief appearance. (It was on this show that she became acquainted with the man she married, Scott Foley. Garner made her mark with her romantic comedic film "13 Going on 30" in which she played an teen trapped inside the body of a 30-year-old. Garner chose Gary Winick, who directed the movie. Both Winick and Garner worked together in search of other projects following the death of Winick. In 2009, Garner has been named as an ambassador to the arts for Save the Children U.S.A. The role includes promoting national literacy, nutrition, and early education. Garner was elected as a director on the board of this non-profit organization in the year 2014. Garner advocates for early developmental stages of children. She has been a spokesperson to the Early Steps to School Success program, which teaches parents on how to best aid their children's learning.
